Beicip-Franlab is seeking a Geophysicist to join the Geoscience Interpretation team to support the development of its consulting activities.
Geophysical and in particular seismic processing and data interpretation are key initial processes in today's Oil and Gas and Energy Transition (CCUS, geothermal energy) industries to perform seismic acquisition design, seismic processing supervision, seismic well tying and velocity modeling.
Leading or working directly with multi-disciplinary teams, you will carry out all tasks related to gravity, magnetic, seismic and other non-seismic methods. Candidate must be proficient with processing workflows and standard software packages for GIS and seismic interpretation (Decision Space™ and Petrel™ for the most commons).
Knowledge of seismic characterization and analysis of sedimentary basins and other associated subjects would be a plus.
You will be based at Beicip-Franlab headquarters in France (Paris area) with opportunities to travel abroad.

Responsibilities
Acting as Consultant, you will directly report to the Geoscience Interpretation Team Leader. The successful candidate will be expected to:
Perform seismic acquisition design for tender generation;
Supervise seismic data processing;
Perform Multiphysics interpretation;
Perform key seismic interpretation tasks: seismic-to-well calibration, horizons and faults interpretation, 2D & 3D velocity model, depth conversion and mapping;
Work actively in an integrated project team;
Participate to the presentation and discussion with the Client from data collection to the results delivery;

Candidate profile
An MSc or PhD in Geophysics.
5 to 10 years of experience in seismic interpretation, in Oil & Gas and/or Energy Transition industries (mandatory).
Proficiency with standard software packages for seismic interpretation
Additional proficiency in seismic characterization (a plus),
A strong interpersonal and communication skill, written and oral, is essential.
A commitment for mobility as the job implies overseas missions.
A confident and assertive personality with the ability to provide effective technical support and soon articulate strong technical arguments to answer clients’ expectances.
Previous overseas experience, advantageous.
Fluent English mandatory. Spanish/ French advantageous.
